COVISINT SELECTS OPENCONNECT TO ENHANCE COVISINT PORTAL CAPABILITY

 

Detroit , August 26, 2002 — Covisint today announced the selection of OpenConnect Systems, Inc. of Dallas, Texas as the company's portal solution provider for legacy mainframe data access. This relationship delivers an additional service to the Covisint Portal that broadens Covisint's capabilities to serve our customers.

 

Through this new offering, Covisint will be able to rapidly develop and deploy its solution providing user access to legacy mainframe and web applications via the Covisint Portal. Previously, access to data on legacy mainframe systems was provided only through hard-wired "dumb" terminals or PC emulation software. Covisint has integrated its security component with OpenConnect's WebConnect product to allow single sign-on for Covisint Portal users, greatly simplifying authorized access.
