THE WESTERN RESERVE GROUP SELECTS OPENCONNECT TO DELIVER WEB-BASED INSURANCE RATING SYSTEM
Company chooses OpenConnect for professional services and eXtremeVista solution.
DALLAS, TEXAS (August 12, 2003) — OpenConnect Systems, Inc., the pioneer of secure mainframe-to-web solutions, today announced The Western Reserve Group has successfully developed and deployed a web-based Homeowner Rating and Application Submission System using OpenConnect’s eXtremeVista mainframe-to-web development product. The solution provides secure real-time access to accurate rate information, allowing agents to easily enter the information necessary to provide customers with quotes and then convert quotes into an application without re-keying the information. This new system replaces a diskette based system that was expensive to administer and maintain.
OpenConnect’s Professional Services Team worked with The Western Reserve Group to develop “Quick Quote” and “Full Quote” applications in 120 days (from requirements definition to production deployment) utilizing a WebSphere architecture. In the first 30 days of deployment, 75% of Western Reserve Group’s agents submitted over 4,000 quotes using the new system.
